The NOVI SAD BRASS ORCHESTRA was founded in May 2003 with the desire to fill in the place of the former RTV Novi Sad Dance Orchestra and carry on the tradition of orchestral music in the fields of light, film, theatre and jazz music in Novi Sad. During the last three and a half years the Orchestra has presented a number of concerts among which traditional concerts on the occasion of the World Music Day stand out, together with the Novi Sad Jazz Festival, the 20th Century Film Scores, the concert of Latin music  called “Fiesta Latina“, the Christmas and New Year’s tour of Vojvodina, Sombor Summer, Belgrade Summer, Zrenjanin Summer, appearances at inaugurations of the International Film Festivals in Palić and Novi Sad, Sarajevo Winter, and many others. Besides its regular concert activities, the orchestra performs in its Big Band line-up at cocktail parties with a programme especially made for these occasions. Its repertoire mainly consists of classical pieces of film music, Latin-jazz standards, and classical jazz repertoire while its next repertoire extension is aimed at the most important pieces of 20th century theatre music.
