DON’T WAKE ME UP
performance art

Author: Radmila Jeremić, Serbia

A successful photo-model poses under the reflector lights, until she starts to act on the stage in a quite relaxed manner and releases unpleasant, yet not too loud cries. The title Don’t Wake Me Up is ambiguous: don’t wake me up from self-destruction, from death. Should her request be honoured or she should better be woken up?
Message: the pretty faces from the covers of the magazines who dictate fashion can privately be very unhappy, although millions of girls identify with them and try to be like them. A strong protest against the campaigns of all kinds!

Radmila Jeremić (1983) graduated Acting from the Academy of Fine Arts in class of Professor Petar Zec, PhD. She has appeared in performances of the Mimart Theatre.
