The Urban Playground Team (UK)

Once again we had a fantastic experience at Infant. The commitment of the festival to supporting work which engages with, and supports the development of young people from the area must be applauded. We felt deeply privileged – both in being invited to return and extend the work we commenced in 2009, and to receive such a strong response from those participants who returned, along with new comers, to engage again in the creation of work.
We felt so strongly about the participants and the context provided by this festival that we decided to go further into the “participant performance” making than we have ever done before, bringing the participants into our existing performance and allowing their work not only to stand alongside ours, but “marry” with ours in the creation of something entirely new.
The audience response was exceptionally warm, and the ongoing support of the festival meaningful, direct and extremely generous.
